La storia di San Sebastiano parla di salvezza, della sua guarigione dalle ferite inferte dalle frecce imperiali, di una rinascita. La rinascita è il tema del mio racconto. Il bianco del caolino è l'elemento fondante, il colore in cui tutto si annulla, dove è possibile seguire un'altra via.
Il corpo del santo è modellato in un cilindro cavo di porcellana, le ferite sono squarci, tagli profondi. Le lance ancora conficcate nel busto si tramutano in carne, si saldano alle ossa. Le lame non fanno più alcun male, sono parte di un corpo nuovo, rigenerato, più forte, poiché è la mente a governarlo

The story of St. Sebastian speaks of salvation, of his recovery from the wounds inflicted by the royal arrows, of a rebirth. Rebirth is the subject of my narrative. The White of the kaolin is the founding element. White is the color in which everything is cancelled and can start over again, have a new life.
The body of the saint is molded from a hollow porcelain cylinder, the wounds are gashes, deep cuts. The cutting edges, become welded to the bones. The blades are no longer harmful, they are a part of a new, regenerated, and stronger body, as it is the mind that governs it.
